Virginia Governor's race

Post by bmw » Thu Oct 28, 2021 7:16 pm

Looks like McAuliffe's gaffes are catching up with him. Latest poll has Youngkin +8. That's a 13-point swing from just 2 weeks ago from the same polling organization (Fox News).

Given all the early voting that has happened, I think the margin will be a lot closer than that. I'm not ready to say McAuliffe is going to lose, but I think it'll be decided by 2 points or less either way. The fact that this was even in play has to be troubling for Democrats.

We need a course correction in Virginia in 2024.

The lefties used a black guy to pretend to be, and dressed up to be, a white supremist? Does Megyn Kelly know about this?

I guess it's ok for lefties to do this sort of thing because former Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam was in yearbook photo showing one person dressed in blackface and another in a KKK white hood and robe.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Reminds me of a hilarious Dave Chappelle sketch:

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

I'm pretty excited. I cashed out $802 profit on this race. Put me up just over $3,000 since the 2020 primaries (my $400 is now worth $3450).

That's not fair. You need to share about 80 percent of your profits with us folks that didn't have the guts or smarts to do what you did.

If you don't, you're a racist, capitalist puke.

This one was easy....the moment Terry Mcauliffe made his debate gaffe several weeks ago where he said that parents shouldn't be able to tell school boards what to teach their kids, I knew that 27 cents on the dollar for Youngkin was a steal. Once conservative commentators ran with that, I threw $700 at this race.

Arlington and Fairfax have barely reported. If you recall, very little of the state except for the northern suburbs is Democrat.

There's not enough votes left in Fairfax. In about 3/4 of all counties, Youngkin is over-performing what he needs to compared to Biden's 2020 win.

I'm gonna say Youngkin by 5 when the dust settles.

Looking like a Republican sweep in Virginia - exit polls not good for Biden's performance either...

I'm not going to disagree with a Republican win but the margin is going to be pretty tight.

I agree that it will be a lower margin than where it is at by now, but my rough projection puts him with a 5 to 6 point win. Could go as low as 4 depending on exactly what is outstanding with early votes.

And if he does hold on to win by 4+, that is a BIG win considering where the polls were, not to mention that Biden carried the state by 10.
