The above provided about as much protection from a nuclear bomb as the masks I see people wearing protects them from the Corona Virus. Some of them might come in handy if you were going to rob a train.

A mask is better than no mask. Sure they don't 100% protect you from the virus but what it DOES do is reduce your chances of getting the virus and spreading it to others. Plus masks give essential workers a little piece of mind.
