Used to Be A Normal Person
As a man, I used to think I was pretty much just a regular person, but I was born white, into a two-parent household which now, whether I like it or not, makes me "Privileged", a racist & responsible for slavery…
I am a fiscal & moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes me a fascist because I plan, budget & support myself.
I went to High School, got a diploma, got in some college (actually graduated) & have always held a job. But I now find out that I am not here because I earned it, but because I was "advantaged”. In addition I paid for my education myself, not my parents.
I am heterosexual, which according to "gay" folks, now makes me a homophobe.
I am not a Muslim, which now labels me as an infidel.
I believe in the 2nd Amendment, which makes me a de facto member of the "vast NRA gun lobby”
I am older than 60, making me a useless eater who doesn't understand Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat.
I think & I reason, and I doubt much of what the "mainstream" media (lies) tells me, which makes me a "Right-wing conspiracy nut”.
I am proud of my heritage & our inclusive American culture, making me a xenophobe.
I believe in hard work, fair play, & fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist.
I believe our system guarantees freedom of effort - not freedom of outcome or subsidies which must make me a borderline sociopath.
I believe in the defense & protection of America for & by all citizens, now making me a militant.
I am proud of our flag, what it stands for and the many who died to let it fly, so I stand & salute during our National Anthem - so I must be a racist.
Please help me come to terms with the new me because I'm just not sure who I am anymore!
Funny - it all took place over the last 7 or 8 years! If all this nonsense wasn't enough to deal with, now I don't even know which restroom to use… and I gotta go more FREQUENTLY!

“Normal” meaning a white, middle class male who can excel to fame, or excel in anonymity - as you blend in to the majority US population - where almost all top leadership positions are filled by whites. You can live in nice neighborhoods, attend nice schools, get a loan from a bank, frequent business establishments, industries, a nearby church, movie theaters, national park campgrounds, golf courses, tennis courts, public swimming pools, etc.
You as a white - aren’t marked from the time you’re born as a minority of African dark coloration and features. I, unlike you, love The United States of America so much that I hold it to a higher standard than you do. I feel certain that we can figure out how to realize our dream of all of us seen as equals and treated as equals. With equal opportunities for all Americans, instead of some.
Surely you have noticed that over our 240+ year history (a comparatively young country) white men decided blacks and women should not vote (with blacks STILL the targets of conservative voter suppression tactics), that every institution from the US military to universities to entire industries to the arts, to professional sports, are only recently SLIGHTLY white/black integrated in management, and even more rarely, or not at all, in ownership.
When I was a kid blacks couldn’t drink from the same drinking fountain as me, or swim in the same public pool, walk through the same public entrance, etc! Or did you not notice? And forget about any blacks attending or teaching in my public school classrooms.
Why? Because whites who own most of the racist system of life in the USA are automatically fearful of, and automatically suspicious of blacks. Especially black men and teens.
Blacks are automatically oppressed. By our once covert and now exposed American systemic racism. They aren’t going to “go along to get along” anymore.
And if fearful, proud-ignorant, arrogant whites are willing to practice instead of just mouth “justice for all” - they will join this nation-wide movement toward that stated goal. Because rather than have - as you slur “contempt” - for America - they will prove their faith in The US Constitution - to help move this nation steps closer to that American Dream of a more perfect union.

I would say that violent leaning police are beyond the existential threat level like your cute firing squad example. They are a real priah of society that are killing people.
