ABC uses fake shots pretty much daily. Green screen shots with a reporter are routine.

Hiring an unseasoned editor? No supervisor checking content before it goes public?

Or for the tin foil hat-minded, ABC in a well considered and intricately directed/managed political conspiracy to mislead its audience.
