The more this goes on the more desperate the GOP looks. That they are resorting to this cheap show is a testament to how afraid they are that they will lose in November. They've had the writing on the wall for a while now.. It's pathetic.

The more this goes on the more desperate the GOP looks. That they are resorting to this cheap show is a testament to how afraid they are that they will lose in November. They've had the writing on the wall for a while now.. It's pathetic.

Unfortunately, much of the electorate now only responds to "free stuff" and not real issues. If this were a Republican, WHO DID THE SAME EXACT THINGS, they would already be under indictment at the very least, if not put away for a very long time, and certainly not a presumptive nominee. And certainly the Republicans would remove them from consideration. Even the red herring about Colin Powell or General Petraeus, or others having printed letters hidden in their house containing sensitive or secret information does not rise to this. A person who has been repeatedly praised as a genius certainly knew that her emails could be hacked by any competent hacker in the world. Powell, Petraeus, or others who as one might recall Powell is now a Democrat, parading as a Republican to annoy them, in his own words, at least hid the letters where you would have to break in and search extensively.

Powell is at most a Republican In Name Only. And this is a serious situation. To judge how serious, think what would be happening and what you would be saying if a Republican presumptive nominee had done this.

Very funny... Republicans have drifted farther to their side of the aisle since Reagan then Democrats have to the left. You guys idolize Reagan but one of his own sons wrote an op-Ed in recent months arguing he wouldn't be a Republican today... How can you pretend not to have moved when you have moved a lot?

I watched about a half hour of the hearing yesterday morning and I couldn't take any more. It was nothing more than political showboating and trying to get sound bites on the part of republicans, and a clear circling of the wagons by democrats.

There WERE legitimate questions to be asked of the FBI Director - it would have been nice to have seen those questions asked instead of long multi-minute statements that aren't even questions. And the few questions that WERE asked were designed not to get actual information, but to just try to make Hillary look bad.

I remember being equally disappointed watching the IRS Director Congressional hearings last year.

I'm starting to think Congress shouldn't be in the business of conducting any legal hearings. Leave that to those qualified to do so - lawyers.
