Unless police and the military are disarmed worldwide, mass shootings will continue. Even then, guns and ammunition could still be secretly manufactured by individuals and governments. If average people aren't armed and use those arms defensively, the death toll from such attacks will be far greater. Other weapons of mass destruction and improvised devices will continue to be manufactured by governments and terrorists, and would be used if guns were not available. There's just no way to stop governments and terrorists from manufacturing and using other devices. As you see, knives, ropes, garrotes, gravity dependent devices such as cranes and windows of buildings, clubs, bats, and bare hands will contiuue to wreak mass murder. "World government" wouldn't stop it either. It is impossible to get all world leaders to agree on anything, even if they pretend to agree. Authoritarian, totalitarian, psychotic tyrants will continue to rise to power, because they are driven to do so. The UN, if ever good intentioned, has become a bully pulpit cesspool of haters who mainly hate the US and Western Civilization.

Gunman in Mass Shooting Gets Two Years probation

Pa. man whose gun went off during Mass gets probation


ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) — A central Pennsylvania man charged in the accidental discharge of a gun during a crowded Easter vigil Mass has been placed on probation for two years.


The (Altoona) Mirror reports that 30-year-old Matthew Crawford of Altoona pleaded guilty Friday in Blair County Court to recklessly endangering another person. The sentence and plea to the second-degree misdemeanor were part of an agreement with prosecutors.


Crawford, who was grazed by the bullet, had a permit for the weapon and said the gun discharged accidentally in his pocket April 4 during Mass in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Authorities said the weapon wasn't in a holster and its four safeties weren't on.


Defense attorney Steven Passarello said his client was remorseful and "happy that no one was injured.
