Florida is now a red state… so what? It would be bigger news if he lost or squeaked it out.
His big problem is gonna be his support of privatizing Social Security and Medicare. Third rail stuff. Trump will bludgeon him with that.

DeSantis is untested. The GOP loves him because they literally have nobody else but Trump. It'll be interesting to see how he performs on a national stage.

I agree. I think if he somehow is the nominee, he'll likely win the election, but I imagine he'll flame out unexpectedly, like Rudy in 2008, Jeb in 2016, and even James Craig here in Michigan last year.

Once you get a few miles inland off of the Gulf or the Atlantic, Florida is the most ass-backward redneck state in the country.

Florida is the butt of most jokes these days. It sure took pressure off Detroit. It's in the bottom or below average on almost any list from violent crime to mortality and education.
