He was hit by a dumptruck while trying to cross interstate by foot.

This is tremendously sad. Adam Schefter had a terrible first tweet that he deleted and sent one less critical of the guys NFL career, as if that was relevant.

Agreed. This man was an outstanding collegiate QB, and to die at such a young age in such a gruesome way is very tragic indeed.

Suicide comes to mind. Nothing much else makes sense.
Unless he was so freaking high on drugs he had no clue where he was.

Which explains how he got to that location on the expressway. It doesn't explain why he stepped in front of a dump truck.

My condolences to his family. He certainly was one of the better rushing and passing QB’s that came out of nowhere.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Haskins seemed to be destined for success. It's really hard to lose someone that young. R.I.P.
