Kind of surprised no one has posted this yet.

Evidently, Craig wasn't one of the voters

Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh is The Associated Press college football coach of the year after leading the Wolverines to their first Big Ten title in 17 years and a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Harbaugh is the first Michigan coach to win the AP Coach of the Year Award, and the first from the Big Ten since Penn State’s Joe Paterno in 2005

A well-deserved honor after Harbaugh was snubbed for State's Marv Tanner in the B1G vote.

My fire Harbaugh stance has changed to wait and see.
I need him to at least break even with OSU and MSU going forward. 10-3 isn't good enough when the 3 are MSU OSU and whatever bowl game happens.

Why are these honors bestowed prior to post season bowl games?

Based on season performance to date, he is a worthy recipient for sure. That said, the honor will seem silly if Cincinnati somehow wins a national championship.
