Professional golfer Phil Mickleson pulls out of future appearances at Detroit's Rocket Mortgage Classic over an unfavorable article in the Detroit News

“It was so much effort for me to be here and to have that type of unnecessary attack — not like I care, it happened 20-something years ago — but just the lack of appreciation, yeah, I don’t see that happening,” Mickelson said when asked if he’d return to the third-year PGA Tour event. “I don’t see me coming back. Not that I don’t love the people here and they have been great, but not with that type of thing happening.”
My question is what does “It was so much effort for me to be here" mean? Are they forcing him to carry his own clubs? *gasp* Will his private jet aircraft be in the shop and he'll be forced to fly commercial? *double gasp* I'm not saying the article was a good idea but it did have a local slant. Own it Phil and quit being an entitled little bitch.
