I'll preface my comments by saying Harbaugh did a great job of coaching this year and certainly is one of the few deserving of this award.

But there is a national media bias that is undeniable. This is a national writers award, the BT award Mel won was voted for by conference coaches and media.

Kenneth Walker just won the Walter Camp Award, the award given to the best player in college and voted for by coaches and SID's Yet, he was not even among the Heisman finalists. That has NEVER happened before.

Much of this board is full of complaints how bad of a job the media does. Some of these awards are more proof.

Mel Tucker deserved as does Jim Harbaugh. Fair is fair.
