Cover up at UM continues
Cover up at UM continues
Dr. Anderson was at Michigan for decades. So where are all the photos in U-M's archive?
https://www.freep.com/restricted/?retur ... 2727001%2F
"zero pictures of Dr. Anderson in UM's archive until they uploaded 3 black and white photos of him on February 21st, 2020, 2 days after the University acknowledged the scandal."

The story in the News today might even be more sickening.
Jonathan Vaughn, once a standout on the football field, is seeking answers, accountability and justice for himself and the hundreds who say they suffered sexual abuse by Dr. Robert Anderson at the University of Michigan.
As part of the abuse, Anderson had collected sperm samples from him on multiple occasions when he was a student-athlete playing for the Wolverines, saying he was doing research on creating "a perfect Black athlete," Vaughn said.
.....There appears to be no paper trail. Many of the medical records for Anderson's former patients were destroyed a decade after they were created, according to the WilmerHale report. Only records created after 1995 through his work at Michigan Medicine exist, and "they did not provide material information with respect to any potential misconduct," investigators found.
Vaughn believes UM has his medical records, and he has tried to get them but has been unsuccessful.
UM's Fitzgerald said he was not able to discuss the status of an individual's medical records.
"I am on a quest to find out the entire truth," Vaughn said.

U of M, inspired by Stalin, blots out Dr. Anderson.
Disagreeing with Communists is NOT an impeachable offense.

Out of curiosity I did a little Googling and Michigan law only requires records be kept for 7 years.Honeyman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 10:55 am

In my limited search the only people who seemed to think medical records should be kept "forever" are medical malpractice lawyers.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Jon Vaughn deserves so much credit for being brave, ethical and persistent.
That sickening cesspool of a school/community, as well as every media outlet, wants this story gone, but he's going to single handedly force their hands. This is an example, Murphy is an reprehensible cretin, yet even he was forced by someone to acknowledge it.

Re: Cover up at UM continues
Paul Schmidt needs to be gone. Schlissel has already announced his exit.
I don't believe that anyone in the media is actively working to get rid of the story. It's more of a thing that all the employees that enabled Anderson are already gone (except for this Schmidt dude) and that there are already things happening in the legal system that will cost U-M a boatload of money. There just isn't a lot of shit that can be stirred up on this that hasn't already been brought up.
Who is Murphy? The author of the ESPN article?

Wellllll... la de frickin da
Re: Cover up at UM continues
Paul Schmidt admitted to the cops and investigating law firm that he was aware that Dr. Anderson was giving rectal exams. Opens the door for follow-up questions, about what he did about that knowledge. Why did he think that kind of medical examination was appropriate? He's a trainer, who has a bit more expertise on medical treatments than a coach or other athletic department employee. No curiosity from the media? Freep?
Murphy wrote this article and many about the Nassar scandal. Raked MSU over the coals for that (much of it well-deserved) but along with another ESPN reporter, attempted to tie Izzo and Dantonio into the scandal with zero evidence.
There is also a perception that UM continues to promote, that all this is ancient history. Have you ever seen a color picture of Dr. Anderson? Thing is, Vaughn played for Michigan years after Jim Harbaugh did.

Imagine being able to accept that the mass sexual assault of college students happened and was known about by leaders in the athletic department because it happened with your home team.
