I think Hotel California is another one you can add to the list.
I like Queen a lot, and I wish some of their other hits were played more often, like Radio GaGa or Don't Stop Me Now.

Me and Bobby McGee.
Maybe let a boomer program the music, it seems like the youngsters don't understand that oldsters tired of those songs back when they were first overplayed!

Starship "We Built This City" (1985) & Falco "Rock Me Amadeus" (1986) are the worst songs that went to # 1 during the 80's decade!!!

Interesting list, but I didn't know that anyone was playing Hey Jude anymore.ZenithCKLW wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 9:21 am Survivor - Eye of the Tiger

When "We Built This City" came out, the City of Detroit was having trouble finishing the downtown People Mover. Dick Purtan did a parody of this song called "We Bilked This City With The Train That Wouldn't Roll."

Re: Most overplayed, overhyped, overrated, songs played to death on the radio
Back in late 1985 when WIOG (106.3 FM in Saginaw) played "We Built This City", (instead of the DJ doing the song) they had another voiceover for Flint & the Tri-Cities!! Also Uncle Kracker song "Smile" when Kracker was sayin' 106.3 in one of the lyrics (which was WGER in Saginaw)!!
