Maybe you could identify as a compact car and park there.

Not uncommon stateside. I know Ferndale and Mackinaw City have them.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

They are all over the place in Denver, and it's annoying. However, it also allows them to squeeze in a few more parking places in each row, so there is a benefit IF THE FOLKS IN COMPACT CARS ACTUALLY USED THEM. But they don't... they just take up the full size spots so they have more room to get in and out of the car.

A friend who worked at the Ford plant told us that the parking spaces nearest the plant were reserved for employees driving Ford vehicles.

Employees driving other North American, Union built vehicles were allowed to park in the rest of the lot.

Emloyees driving imports had to park in the other lot across on the other side of the busy highway.

Yeah... I've seen this. In downtown Toledo, in the parking garage for the Seagate center there are a decent number of these spots. Although, compact cars are not little slug bugs like they used to be, like the Ford Escorts from the 80s or Dodge Omni's. In fact, what was a mid sized car is now a small car.

A Toyota Corolla these days is the same size as the 1994 Olds Cutless Ciera I had many moons ago. Smallest cars I can think of are the Chevy spark, Mitsubishi Mirage, and Nissan Versa.

MWmetalhead wrote: Sun Oct 30, 2022 11:07 am What I hate are the slew of marked online order pickup spaces at Target stores. There are about two dozen prime parking spaces, which the vast majority of the time are 90% empty, earmarked just for online order pickups.

Most Target stores already have terribly arranged parking lots, as in many instances, a sole store entrance is located on the far right side or far left side of the front of the building. The decision to carve out so many spaces for the sole purpose of online order pickups only adds insult to injury. It's as if they are trying to discourage people from actually visiting their retail stores!
Much of that was put in during the pandemic but since it's basically over, they do need to cut back on that. The 2 Target's in Toledo, the lots are not the worst but not the best. The one on Lewis and Alexis, it's in a large shopping center, so going in and out can be a chore.

One of the worst parking lots ever, is The Best Buy on Secor and Monroe. Talk about poorly laid out. A friend of mine totaled his car in that lot, some lady pulled out in front of him. His car was old and not worth much, hence why it was totaled but I'm sure it wasn't the first time that has happed on that lot.

Compact car spaces, that's a relic that needs to go.

I've noticed that almost all of these compact spots are at an intersection of a main drive or corner in a structure. If you drive a smaller car it would be easy to pull out from behind a 'bigass vehicle' and get hit before you see the oncoming traffic.

I never shop online, but I always park in their parking spaces. May as well. No one else does.
