Any Robins Yet?

One of the first harbingers of spring in always the first Robin sighting. It's been more than ten years since I spent a winter up in these latitudes, but I seem to recall it was always around the first week of March.
I haven't seen or heard any yet. Anyone else?

I used to always hear the Red Wing Blackbirds few days before the Robins. I haven't yet heard them either.

Robins have been back at least 2 weeks.
I saw a flock of them just before last weeks snow and arctic temperatures.

March 5. Still nothing. I talked to my sister who lives about 125 miles north of here. They still have 2 ft of snow on the ground She says there are robins up there.

They've been hanging around here all winter in recent years (SE Lower Michigan). Though known as "meateaters", they'll eat the high-calorie berries remaining on trees and shrubs during winter.

A dove couple built a nest in our eaves last spring. Mom & Dad hatched three batches of babies, two in each batch. The nest was right outside our front door, and they seemed totally undisturbed by the humans milling about. When the babies flew the nest, they would hang around our front porch and yard for a few days, then leave for the big wide world. Suffice to say the nest was looking pretty worn & torn by the time it was finally abandoned in the late summer.
Last week we noticed the doves are back, constructing a new nest in almost the exact same spot as last year. I have to wonder if these are last year's babies returning to home base to raise their kids.

All 4 of my Maine Coon Tabby cats have been having a feast, on all the robins in my neighborhood. Thank God for cats, no more bird crap on the car or truck.

I'm thinking it's the same couple from last year.
