These middle class types expect everyone to be swept up in the drama and suspense of their life

It's like the couple in California last year who started a wild fire with fire works at similar event. Burned down all their neighbour's homes

Can you imagine being the kid?

"Mommy, why don't I have a daddy?"

"Well, he was building a device to tell the world whether your pee-pee was an in-y or an out-y and it killed him"

Not gonna screw him/her up at all.

What’s with the whole gender reveal spectacle thing anyways? Like where did it come from?

If I went around revealing my gender, the cops would arrest me.

Seems like it's a tragic evolution of the Facebook / Snapchat / Instagram / TikTok thing. Instead of having to share what we're eating for dinner, now we have to share every moment of our lives in search of pageviews and likes. A gender reveal doesn't get attention unless it's over the top of everyone else's.

That median income puts that area in lower to lower middle class. There going to have a memorial for this guy at the next tractor pull.

Ann Arbor is middle class to upper middle class: https://datausa.io/profile/geo/ann-arbo ... 000US11460

Ann Arbor is also despised by TCSU.

My wife and I opted not to learn the gender of our older son ahead of time. We wanted to be surprised. We did decide to learn the gender our younger son at the ultrasound out of pure curiosity. We mentioned it to family and friends in normal conversation. Never did we consider throwing a party to make the "big announcement". This whole gender-reveal phenomena is a recent development that I just don't get. I fail to see how this is relevant information to anyone outside the immediate family, much less something that requires pyrotechnics and explosives to proclaim.

Or maybe I'm just getting old.

I’m with you... it seems like a waste of a good explosive.
