Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
I noticed Christmas music on both the Spectrum(28) and First Wave(33). However, to their credit, it was only played on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day AND was obscure. I am good with that.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
For 2022 it's started already on SXM. Not sure when it started but they were promoting the stations today, Nov 4.
Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
Turkeytop, they started on November 1st. Do you have a radio with the expanded Xtra channels? I spotted some Feliz Navidad on channel 636- never thought the radio went much over 300?
Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
Dec 26 and the Christmas music is no more. They must cut it off right at the end of Christmas day. I'd prefer that, instead of starting so early, they would continue for a few days after Christmas
Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
The Holiday Traditions station (71) had switched back to its regular big band music when I was listening in my car this morning, but on my computer right now, it's still playing Christmas music.
I agree, it's nice to extend it a little bit. Helps re-capture the easy fun of the early days of the Christmas season, now that the big (and stressful) buildup to Christmas Day is over. The last couple of years, I think I remember WNIC extending it a day or two because December 26 fell on a Saturday or Sunday, and the holiday feeling was still prevalent.
All along the icy wastes, there are faces smiling in the gloom.
Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
But, on the screen. they're still calling it Holiday Traditions.
Here in Canada, Dec 26 is a holiday, Boxing Day. It's like an extension of Christmas Day. It still feels like Christmas. I'm playing some Christmas CDs

Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
If it's not too late, SXM 602 plays Holiday Traditions. Also, bonus Pandora channels from SXM, Mantovani (Holiday), Jim Brickman (Holiday), and Bing Crosby (Holiday)
Re: Christmas Creep on SXM
I noticed today the SXM Sinatra channel still has some Xmas music in the mix. one or two per hour.

That sounds simple enough. But it's more satisfying to be stubborn and bitch about how progress should be halted so that we don't have to change our ways.

So, who's bitching about that? You seem confused.Graham Wellington wrote: ↑Sun Jan 01, 2023 7:11 pm
