Re: 50.5 Circle Network coming soon
Circle also started on 12.3 in the Tri-Cities on January 1 (weather moved to 12-6). They have F-Troop at noon on weekdays. On Jan 1, they had show number 1, which had the story of how Parmenter got his medal, promoted to Captain, and sent to F-Troop. In the intro with the theme song, that old bearde...

Re: SHortwave pirate stations
If you think that they are pirates, then shiver their timbers and poop their deck.

WWJ in Kentucky
I was coming back from a conference last month in Tennessee, and I was tuning around the AM radio in the car. I managed to pick up WWJ, not 100%, but easily hearable; about 10 miles south of Cincinnati in Northern Kentucky. It was Saturday evening in the 8:20PM time frame (still daylight), and I hea...

OK, so they are hot. Which ones are available? Will they do my laundry?

Low power TVs in Tri-Cities
Just within the last 3 weeks or so, apparently two low power TV stations have started up in the Tri City area. One seems to be WLLD-LD, wihich gives a PSIP of 25, which intermingles with WEYI. It has several sub-channels, but 3 of them appear to be just paid half-hour advertisements. One seems to be...

Re: Renaming TV obituaries
When a former Bay County Sheriff died recently, His obit was on ObitMichigan, but was not in the Bay City Times/M-live/Legacy.com site. I had to go here to find the information on him. This is a good alternative site to put them.

Re: Comparing the weather radars
Have you tried the National Weather Service site? Their page for DTX has a link for a radar loop. That seems to be a lot better than the ones of the TV stations.

Re: I-75 and I-96 orignal routes
In addition to the non-completion of I-275: The original I-96 route was supposed to be down or closely parallel to Grand River, from the I-275/696 split down to where Grand River hits I-96 by Davison. The Davison was also originally intended to be extended to I-96. Again, NIMBY in both cases. Taking...

Re: Friday traffic myth
Back to the (an?) original topic of this thread. Yes, there are many companies or organizations that work a non-traditional 40-hour work week. There is the 9-4/5, where you work 9 hours a day 4 days a week, 8 hours on one Friday, and the next Friday off. Then there is the 10/4, where you work 10 hou...
