After the Lions preseason game Friday I left it on Fox 47 and watched their news. That's some high school caliber operation right there. Everyone is "reading" at the viewer. His show on MAX (formerly HBO MAX) is in the works but has been held up by the writers strike. It will be a travel oriented show where he meets up with the non-celebrities he has talked to on his podcast. I wondered for awhile if he would return to TV since he has built an impressive podcast empire.

His choice at the time was to remain with the Tonight Show, which would have been backed up to a 12:05 start (NBC planned to move Jay Leno to 11:35 for a half-hour show). Conan balked at the idea because he felt it compromised the integrity of the Tonight Show, which started no later than 11:35 sin...

Carson understood the purpose of late night TV. He kept it light, gave his audience a good laugh and helped people unwind at the end of the day. Johnny was like that glass of wine to relax and take the edge off. Letterman and Leno learned from his example and followed the formula. Modern late night...

Local newscasts are highly profitable, surprised they are dropping them. Usually stations add more and more local news since they can pack them full of local commercials.

I like cable since I enjoy having lots of channels available, on demand shows, DVR, and my provider (Comcast), throws in some extra apps like Peacock, Tubi, games, and Pluto TV. But, it is expensive.

How often does WOOD-TV 8 use their studio that is on the first floor of the Grand Rapids Art Museum building? Is it used on a regular basis, or just for special events?
