Re: MiniDiscs anyone?

Oddly enough, Mini-Disc was the primary audio format used at WDVD up until 2000. They had the Denon machines. And yes, TOC errors would kill the disc. However, when it DID work, MD was pretty neat and gave jocks a lot of flexibility in the studio. I think I still have a portable Sony MD around here ...

Re: AM Radio 2020

Viability and profitability. If the business model consisting of towers on large pieces of real estate, electrical usage, maintenance, insurance, licensing, et al, is justifiable, then, AM will continue to exist. If there is compelling programming, AM can be usable. Strictly speaking from an ...

Re: Columbus Ohio station around 1998-99

106.3 is licensed to London, OH. (Southeast of Columbus) It doesn’t cover the entire DMA sufficiently, because of lower power and lower antenna height. It was Magic 106 when i was down there for a couple of years around 2013.

Re: Cartridge for SL1200

I’m kind of in the same boat with my 1200. I have a Shure SC39ED cartridge. Shure stopped making the replacement stylus. I have an EJ replacement stylus in there now. Thinking about going back to the Stanton 500. Also, Shure ceased production and styli for the M78. Are Audio Technica cartridges s ...

Thank you for the enlightening info. I, too, receive the “neighborhood spoofing” calls on both mobile and home
phones. Didn’t know what it was. They never left a message, and I’ve never answered. I assume the CID is false and not the originating number?

Re: Is Kroger starting a price war in Metro Detroit?

Kroger wants to get you in the door now, so you’ll make them the first stop for Thanksgiving shopping. They do this every year about this time. Then, come January, prices shoot up across the board.

Re: How Sanders' campaign will lose him the election

Hate to give you the late-breaking news bulletin, Jack, but, TV ain't the be-all-end-all anymore. OTA TV doesn't matter to under 30-somethings, especially news. Even cable is losing tons of ground in those demos. It's more about efficient use of resources to target specific voters. And c'mon, you ...
