KPSD-FM is a blowtorch, with 100,000 watts at 1500 feet. It's a SD public radio station, and carries the BBC World Service. It would make sense that this is the station you were picking up. It was kind of eerie watching the WGN broadcast on Tuesday the 27th during the Chicago-area tornado outbreak. I doubt anyone predicted how early and how active the severe weather season has been this year, let alone having it send Tom off with a bang.

I don't know if ultimately Michigan Radio wins or breaks even on this deal, but it's a vast improvement over letting it go silent or having the license end up in the hands of another religious programmer. If it wasn't for the Ken Ham (of Ark Encounter fame) commercials (is that their only sponsor?), I would have no complaints.

It is definitely an eclectic mix of oldies which is hard to find on other commercial radio outlets (broadcast or internet).
