Re: Ronnie Dahl back to bartending
I almost asked where she is bar tending, then realized I don't want to get screamed at when I get a drink, so I won't go there anyway

Re: 7 Adds Darren Cunningham As A Reporter
I gave up on 7 for the day. Darren was dressed in his U of M tank top and a mask and trying to work out and report on gym openings. Not sure who thought he could carry 3 minutes of live airtime, but they were wrong. The icing on his cake of incompetence was his mask didn't fit so he had to adjust it...

7 just gave Whitmer 3 minutes live during the newscast to do a Biden campaign ad. She encouraged everyone to honor Biden's stop in Michigan today Then she condemned Trump for coming tomorrow because it will spread covid. Alicia polished Whitmer's shoes with her tongue and thanked her for allowing pe...

Re: Maurielle Lue in hospital?
Scripps did a hometown advisor polling program. They ran short clips and asked for feedback on different presenters and styles. They used one as justification for firing Anu--but it was a set up. They had her doing a serious dead kid story against two of the Denver clique doing fun news and used it ...

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen
So whitler called a press conference to say she wasn't going to change anything and then news shows pimped how wonderful she is?

Re: 7 Adds Darren Cunningham As A Reporter
Sept 2, the 6:45am segment. Darren himself had done a package on trying to redirect the taxes on oil and gas.
He still bumbled the intro and in particular the exit. On his own package. I am surprised he got his name right

"A player, if he chooses, can have the name of a Black person wronged in a confrontation with police emblazoned on the back of his helmet. End zones will have “It Takes All Of Us” on one end line, “End Racism” on the other. Coaches and game officials will be able to wear patches on their cap with th...

Re: Media Coverage of Local Sports Protests
Talk is cheap; five bucks says you'll be watching by next fall. Off topic but interesting. Last season at the pistons was my first time in the suites at Little Caesars Pizza Arena--we split it with two other businesses. I was surprised how remote it all was. You can only see anything off the bar to...

Re: 7 Adds Darren Cunningham As A Reporter
Can we all stop beating around the bush and say he was hired because he’s black? I am sure his race is why he is getting extra time to not be good on air. But that can't be the only reason. Before Covid when I would stay the night in Lansing or Flint/Saginaw they had young black male reporters who ...

I agree with the OP.
Once a year or so we would go to a game in each of the pro sports. Then they started insulting the flag. Now everything is race and police are too mean to criminals, and they are annoying Karens about it.
I will not be back.

Thunder woke me up, couldn't get back to sleep. Turned on the 5:30 news.
He is terrible. Stumbling and restarting sentences. Making no sense. Just fire him and hire another guy on his way up from Alpena

Just now 72% of Detroit absentee ballot polls were off, not in the books, and counted anyway. That was in the primary.

Re: Scripps question (WXYZ related)
It has been in trouble for years. Terrible biased infotainment packaged as news. Netflix and Prime, hulu... all give us a complete series season of TV in one drop, and hundreds of programs in their catalog. Meanwhile broadcast gives us a bachelor, dance off, sing off, literally mindless sitcoms, and...
