Re: Mike Valenti and Juwan Howard

I'm neither a U of M fan or hater. The hire seems like a reach. Its like the Tigers handing the keys to inexperienced Brad Ausmus.

Re: How Wheels 106.7 programs by the hour

The latest numbers show that they have lost market share and they are clearly altering their programming to confront a new competitor. Why is that? An FM music station will ALWAYS lose some market share when a new, in-format competitor hits the airwaves. WCSX's market share has slid only a tiny bit...

So why is 94.7 #1 apparently because they're doing something right.
Do you like hearing the same songs over and over and over?

Re: Fox 2 Weather - Missing in Action?!?!

I dont know how big of a role she actually had on the technical side but personally, since Jessica Starr died, I dont really like the FOX 2 weather team anymore. Pinson and the other girl that got her minutes increased are completely "meh".

Re: How Wheels 106.7 programs by the hour

I could never really stand Seger period, full stop. The tunes of his I liked even a little bit are songs we aren't gonna be hearing any time soon (those being the Live Bullet versions of Nutbush, Let it Rock and Get Out of Denver). So, perhaps, the NAME is the issue. Because if you're gonna call yo...

Re: How to program Wheels 106.7 by the hour

All Butt rock all the time. Songs you've heard a million times you'll hear another million times even ones that suck. After playing "Turn the Page" from Bob Seger for the billionth time I actually heard Doug Podell say "Never get tired of hearing that one!" like he was excited about it. Um, yes Dou...

Re: WCSX

So the people of Detroit have been saying for a decade that WCSX needs to shake it up a bit and give us a break from the same tired songs and they just ignore us. 106.7 rolls up and gives them a bit of competition and all of sudden 94.7 is playing some different songs! Amazing! I still think the 90...

Re: How to program Wheels 106.7 by the hour

1. People want to hear the hits, and hear familiar voices play the hits. Studies have proven that time and time again. 2. No format has been tested to death moreso than AOR and the formats that followed it, including this iteration of classic rock. That's been going on since the 1970s, not 1996. 3....

Good for him, he's a talented guy. Hopefully he can find a better partner than lame-o Mark.

Re: The Big Bang Theory

It started out completely average, got pretty decent then went downhill pretty hard. This last season was brutal.
