Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
Looks like CBS62 just hired a sports anchor. His name is Ronnie Duncan and he comes from Cleveland. He was at WOIO-TV just last year. Welcome to the team, my friend. https://mobile.twitter.com/RonnieSlam/status/1561057657292824576 Ah, Ronnie "Slam" Duncan... I know of another with Northeast Ohio ...

Re: Ron Cameron
It's quite surreal to be listening to the show in real time...while reading this thread.

Re: Ron Cameron
So, I am actually in the Detroit area, and got here late Sunday afternoon - and got here in time to check 1400 AM at 6 on Sunday evening. And...an awful, unlistenable signal. I guess I am too far south (and am near a big power transmission tower, which is a contributing factor). That also means that ...

Re: Some Longley-Rice maps are available for FM stations at rabbitears.info!
It works great for the most part, but I wonder if there are L-R maps for FM translators. I don't see a link for one on the query return for a translator here.
ETA: There is a link for another translator here, just not the first one I mentioned.

Re: Ron Cameron
Ah, next week's guest calls to save Ron because he's "hanging". This is a comedy show, isn't it?

Re: Ron Cameron
So an "open lines" hour, after a guest bails, is an occasional call, repeating the number and E-mail a dozen times, an occasional "sponsor" read and behind the scenes with his producer.
Got it.
Got it.

Re: Ron Cameron
Why don't they have the station voice guy or whoever open the hour? And Ron isn't saying his name.
Regular WDTK listeners tune in and unless they recognize his voice, are likely asking who this crazy old man is.

Ed Busch...is that the same Ed Busch who later hosted the overnight syndicated talk show "America Overnight"?

iHeart is moving the clusters in both Cleveland and Akron to those cities' downtown areas. Cleveland is currently in suburban Independence and Akron is south of the city in northern Stark County.

WRNO Worldwide, as they called it, used to run Rush Limbaugh, live. Rush called it "the EIB World Service".
As I recall, they actually started with some live rock music personality shows specifically for the shortwave audience, but reverted early on to simulcasting the FM.

WHLO/640 Akron used to sign off at California sunset due to KFI/Los Angeles, so I wouldn't be surprised if 1560/Toledo had the same license condition re: KNZR/Bakersfield.

Re: WADL lands My Network TV
Here in the Cleveland market, the MyNetwork TV affiliate snatched the CW affiliation from TV 55, and then-renamed "CW 43" started running My from 11 PM to 1 AM. It gets better. My now runs not on "CW 43" or big brother CBS affiliate WOIO/19. It runs on 19.2 (the market's MeTV affiliate) from 1-3 AM ...

Re: Another Nut Job conservative is dead
Yes, he had a radio talk show. It started as a local show on Washington DC hot talk station WJFK/106.7 (lead in: Howard Stern!) and was then syndicated by Westwood One. The show moved syndicators and by the time he retired the show had been on Radio America's lineup for a number of years. WJFK had ...
