Jim called games for the Hens for 49 years, never missing a game (he called over 6,000). He had just called yesterday's game as a matter of fact. He was 78.

Met him once at a blues bar in Indianapolis after a Hens game. Great guy- down to earth and even bought me a drink. He was a musician on the side at one point.

Sad news. I've heard a lot of stories similar to edj's about him being a great guy.
