Some guy on Facebook just claimed he knows where the crash is, but thought it was from the '80's. Another guy and I asked him to contact the DNR or State Police. Hopefully it's legit, but who knows.

Every square inch of Michigan forest has been traipsed over by hunters at some point in the past 45 years so if they were out there somewhere someone would have noticed it by now.
