The former Washington Redskins are now the Washington Commanders. I'm not sure about it; It kinds of sounds like an Arena Football team from Maryland.

The Guardians, the Commanders, and I am worried that we will have the Atlanta Overlords instead of the Braves.

Should have been the Washington Senators (NFL team from 1921 - 1922) which then became a baseball team (1961 - 1971).

It fits right in with the Guardians name. They should have just kept Washington Football Team. It kind of wore on me and was unique.

Commanders sounds like some sort of mechtron robot football team name to me.

So be it... I've no 'skin' in the game.

FWIW - Chris-Craft & Jeep had a run using that name.

Chris-Craft's lasted about 25 years 60's-80's.

Jeep's - only 5 years in the mid-oughts.

As long as the name fits on 'iSportzBetz' or whatever sleazebag betting operations there are, I'm sure it will do.

Maybe they should have been named the Cobra Commanders(only a couple will get that reference)?
