That second period did them in. At least it wasn’t a third period collapse this time.

Ottawa jumps ahead of the Wings. Next is Buffalo on Friday which is no easy task.

The Dead Wings were victorious tonight. Hallelujah.

After playing great against Buffalo, they look like absolute ass against the Flyers, who they play two more times.

3-0 Pittsburgh after one. Why must they suck every March?

Congratulations to the Wings on playing the worst they have all year during the most critical time of the season.

I don't think I've ever seen a team with less give a damn than this one.

Clean house and fire everyone, why does the Wings always choke during March?

Senators and Blue Jackets both lost. Still out of a playoff spot by two points, now with eight games left.

I hate the Red Wings because of the absolute disgrace they have become.

If they're going to suck, at least do it with the kids. That includes goalies. I'm tired of Talbot and Gibson.

Less can be so much more exciting - to paraphrase Kenn Holland, who should have been fired ON THE SPOT for making that comment

No argument here. Talbot is a free agent after this year, so he's gone for sure. Gibson is signed for one more year and he's played well. Next year's tandem will be (or at least OUGHT to be) Gibson and Cossa. Trey Augustine signed his entry-level deal so he'll take over for Cossa with the Griffins.

I have a hunch that we're seeing the last of Patrick Kane too, at least with the Wings. This team is not very fast, and Kane is one of the slowest guys out there now. His game now is coasting between the blue lines and waiting for pucks to come to him in the slot. It's been nice seeing him hit all his milestones this season, but his time here should be up.

I won tickets for Sunday on 97.1 this morning. Hopefully, they will play a decent game against the Wild and not add to their 55% average of no goals in the first period but I won't hold my breath.

Cossa has struggled recently in Grand Rapids, which is why they brought up Postava last time.
