Still no news from "Ron" whether he got a go-ahead for his surgery. Doesn't give me much hope we'll be updated about his planned post-surgery return ... if he has the surgery, that is.

Interesting coincidence. My father is having the same kind of surgery on 11/13. I've talked with him about how he has carefully prepared for the surgery and his recovery, including physical therapy. I'll give Ron a little bit of leeway on the difficulties of preparing for this kind of surgery, but it's been obvious for months that his biggest problem has been procrastinating, because of his cluttered lifestyle.

If asked about Bobby Knight’s death, will Ron simply say he 'didn't know him, never met him' or will he use the question to bring up former guest Boots Day? Or tell his oft-told Doris Day story? Maybe he crossed paths with Morris Day or even Dennis Day?

I think Ron really exists somewhere in the middle—brokered radio that comes across as public access-quality programming.

About a month ago, Ron spontaneously started talking about Frank Howard (https://mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/viewtopi ... 90#p759787).

With Frank's death this week, I'm sure we'll hear more. I hope so. I once saw Frank Howard down at Tiger Stadium in the 80s or 90s, shooting the breeze with some people. Really friendly, laid back guy.
