Perez up for now, but if the offense continues to sputter and Max Clark keeps hitting, they'll make a change.
We're gonna miss Meadows roaming center field, but Javy looks right at home out there. For some strange reason, Javy seems to hit better when he's playing CF.

Oh, and we won 2-0 last night behind Montero.
Baez should always play center field.

Meadows is a better defender, but if Baez has to play it should be in center. Ride his hot streak while you can like they did the first half of last season. Trade him if you can find a team desperate enough. If you can’t and when he cools off, back to the bench. Max Clark may be ready by then anyhow.

I’d leave McGonigle at short. Having a young stud changing positions often can be detrimental to development. His power is still improving, and his defense hasn’t been shabby. The contact skills and strike zone judgment look far advanced for a 21 year old.

Just saw ex Tiger Ryan Kreidler got called up by the Twins and hit a homer off Garrett Crochet (who got absolutely pounded- 10 ERs). How he keeps getting chances despite a .135 career average (and hitting .214 for St Paul) and not enough defense to make up for it puzzles me. He is cheap though which fits the Twins’s current situation. Kreidler must be a hell of a clubhouse guy.

I guess because he's "versatile," according to this article.

He also spent some minor league time in Minnesota, for what that's worth.

Nice late comeback win last night sparked by McKinstry's eighth inning leadoff double and topped by McGonigle's speed around the bases on Dingler's screaming double which absolutely discombobulated the Royals' third-baseman!

Kenley Jansen is now third all-time in saves.

If McGonigle continues to grow and becomes a superstar, this’ll be a steal.

The Pirates did something similar to teenage phenom Konnor Griffin. Younger than McGonigle, and not playing as well to start his major league career.

I love these 2-1 wins! :) Why waste runs? :razz

Just a heads-up, today's an afternoon game also viewable free in Detroit on FOX2. The way things are looking, however, we may be looking at a postponement.

Also on Fox17 in the GR area... Rain delay until 2:15p first pitch.

Someone really pushed the fast forward button on this guy. By the end of the month he might have a statue in centerfield. :)

Tigers just gave up a 5 run lead, 8-6 Royals going into a rain delay.
