Seattle doesn't even have their best starter Bryan Woo active (pec injury)!

Just two f'n hits!
Seems like all the pitches they take are hittable.
All night I was yelling, "Go with the f'n pitch, you idiot!" When Tork finally inside-out that pitch down the right field line for our two runs, I yelled "Hallelujah!'

You're right, we seem to be taking a lot of hittable pitches and getting ourselves into pitcher's counts. We end up flailing at awful pitches for strike three. :rolleyes We controlled the strike zone the entire first half of the season. I just don't understand it. Maybe teams finally have our number, so to speak; they have a firm grip on our tendencies.

Poor coaching.

The only thing about coaching I can point my finger at is this attention to so-called "launch angle". It's especially evident in Riley Greene's egregious uppercut swing, which drives me nuts! I think I read somewhere we've struck out a total of 23 times in the first two games! Needless to say, a strikeout is the ultimate unproductive out.

It's drippy now - but not at a rate that will threaten field conditions later on. If the forecast holds, most of this will be gone by 2 our time with just some leftover sprinkles possible during the game. I'd guess the game starts on time.

Thanks.

Hinch shaking up the lineup. Carpenter to lead off, Keith batting third.

Good, I didn't like Torres leading off.

Stupid rain field is not giving up easily. They'll play, but I'm no longer as confident it'll clear out in time to start on time.

I'm gonna call first pitch sometime between 5:30 and 6:00.

That stupid rain front is refusing to clear the US-12 (Michigan Ave.) and I-94 corridor in Wayne County. A very narrow ribbon of moderate rain is traversing along it. 90 percent of Metro Detroit is seeing no rain right now.

I'm thinking it'll be 6:40 before we see the opening pitch.

It is also ridiculously chilly outside right now. Mid 50s in Metro Detroit as compared to low 60s in most of West Michigan.

The telecast has been demoted to FS2 and to MLB Network.
