How the hell does a station with a (supposedly) mass appeal music format and a signal strong enough to be tuned on a random metal object in some very densely populated zip codes get a 2.3 share?!!
That is an absolute tragedy. This might be the worst 12+ AQH share in the history of the radio station. I can recall a 2.4 share one or two prior times, but I never remember WLHT getting a 2.3 or worse.
Here's a thought: maybe the morning show is a total dud? Maybe the Hot AC format is a total dud? Maybe the branding / imaging is a total dud? Maybe it's all of those things?
Whoever is programming 95.7 locally or at the corporate level is doing a terrible job.
Flip the stupid station back to AC or flip it to country. A retro 90s/00s format would be nice, too.

Meanwhile, nice gain for both (locally programmed) CCM stations. Apparently a lot of evangelical soccer moms got diaries this time.
In the '70s and '80s it would have been unthinkable that 99.3 would one day beat 105.7 in the ratings.

Those stations are superbly programmed and form bonds with their listeners.
Townsquare thinks air talent reading material from a boiler plate show prep site + web site plugs = good radio.

Don't forget posting their mandatory 5 'blogs' per day or whatever to their 2005 era looking website to 'drive traffic' or some such hogwash.
I saw someone from WKFR posing with the cheap plastic trophy they give out at Closwnsquare instead of bonuses or raises for being a 'Top web content creator' or something. It was both hilarious and sad.
What's coming out of the speakers seems to be the last thing they think of.

Re: 95.7 = ratings disgrace
Like I said a few months ago about 95.7, their female and male AI liners/promos, etc. are absolutely horrendous. They use the same female - and I'm *quite* sure she's an AI voice - constantly. Some hours, she repeats the same things between almost EVERY single song. The same repeated lines over and over and over again since last December. Now and then, a male voice chimes in after her, also using the same lines as always. She even does the TOH ID every hour, which is even more cringeworthy.
Usually this kind of stuff isn't that noticeable to me. I'm a DXer, so it takes a LOT of annoyance for me to notice little broadcasting things and even more to actively avoid listening to a station due to it. But that's what I've been doing, avoiding 95.7, a station with good music that I used to frequent.
It doesn't seem to be only a 95.7 thing, but Townsquare in general. I find myself more and more annoyed with certain stations and when I look up who runs them, it's almost always Townsquare.

They have the same male voice as Mix 96.7 in Windsor does, Everytime I 'd listen to 95.7 the first few times I heard him there, for a second I thought i was listening to CHYR, loll

It's sad when the most interesting thing on your station in years is your AM talent almost dying because he can't run.
