Thanks for the correction, I wasn't aware of the recent rule change. I guess my indignation is now more universal.

I certainly would not wish harm of this nature upon him or his family.
I made my initial comment before I learned it was suicide. Obviously, a troubled man; more than likely CTE. Doesnt alter the fact that his "legacy" will be in large part that he was a very dirty hockey player. The Draper incident remains one of the most disgusting plays I have ever seen in sports.

A lot easier for DMac to forgive. His face was destroyed by drugs and alcohol. Lemieux destroyed Draper's face with malice.
I obviously didn't care for Claude as a player, but am still sad to hear of his passing by suicide. CTE is no joke and so many hockey players, especially those that are dirty, and are enforced, have died over the past 20 years from it. I hope he made amends with every Red Wing before he died and I pray he's found peace.
I have never forgiven Claude Lemieux dirty hit on Kris Draper should've been suspened 20+ games 2 games wasn't enough in my opinion. R.I.P. Claude Lemieux and praying for his family, looks like CTE will be interesting what the research comes out on it. I think OJ Simpson has CTE as well not making any excuses for the killing of his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson or Ron Goldman.
