Gary Danielson's a Cameron fan?!?
Detroit Free Press (10/17/80):

Here's the Gary Danielson story that Ron was referencing in the 11-9-19 show. It helped Gary earn the "great" and "phenomenal" labels that Ron gave him during that show.

Ron's memory of this short blurb created this quotation for Danielson: "The one guy I appreciate in this town, I really respect more than anybody else, is Ron Cameron. He tells it like it is."
As they say, “Close enough for government work.”
I work for a government contractor. Like Ron, our client can't make a decision without kicking it down the road for several weeks or months.

In the late 70s or early 80s, Ron and Dick Vitale were on the air on WXYZ. Some guy called in and did a very bad imitation of Vitale. Ron and Dick politely chuckled, but they definitely weren't impressed.

Will a “good man” complement be coming from Ron

Best wishes to Cowboy and good luck on your book about Detroit radio.

Best wishes to Frank/Shemplives, who does double duty for The Ron Cameron Experience (phone calls and Buzzboard).

No. but in the 1970s, when I was living in Indianapolis, the local rock station let me try to imitate the parodies that this local TV weather guy was doing on the same station. Some guy named David Letterman. It was my first and last attempt at something like that. :)

Things To Look Forward To On The Friday Ron Cameron Extravaganza:

A) How the Tigers would be 12 games in front if Avila was still General Manager
B) More Cabrera hate
C) More over the top hate for the Tigers broadcast teams...especially Dickerson
D) More one man operation whining....because A) No one wants to work with him and B) He doesn't WANT anybody working with him.
E) Constant complaining about the station and the building, because he shows up at 10:58.
F) Foraging for phone numbers (that's if he really has a guest)
G) Constant mic bumping
H) If Kurt calls, will Ron go into a tirade and have three strokes to one up Two Stroke Terry?
I) Referring WTDK, and reciting the wrong phone number
J) More complaining about not getting call backs from potential guests
K) If he does have a guest, will he turn the interview into another episode of "All About Ron"
L) How he was the greatest umpire of all time, and how he saved every single sport, including dodgeball and jarts.

This and so much more on the fastest two hours of brokered radio with...THE SPORTS TALK RADIO LEGEND.

Most of the restaurants listed in Ron's newly acquired yellow pages have probably already gone belly-up.

So troubled was he by reports of the alleged assault of Britney Spears by Victor Wembanyama's security guard, Ron has taped a commentary:
