Who picks up CW affiliation in Detroit?
With WKBD Detroit dropping CW affiliation in September which Detroit station is going to pick it up if any? It would be cool if WKBD went back to the movies and cartoon blocks that they had back in the day but that is doubtful.

If the LMA with Nexstar happens it looks like there will be a CW 38. Although that is likely to happen, strange things can happen in the broadcast industry. I'm sure CBS did not expect to end up on channel 62 in the 1990's.
I won't attempt to predict channel 50's future, but they will continue to be controlled by CBS News and Stations.

Re: Who picks up CW affiliation in Detroit?
WADL once Nexstar takes over and as Marcus said most likely CW38. In West Michigan, Sinclair's deal with The CW comes up in late Aug along with the rest of The CW TV stations owned by Sinclair which I believe will renew The CW although I wonder if they will lose CWs where Nexstar is in the same market and has more than one TV station. That isn't The CW but say are MyNet TV which in West Michigan would be WXSP gets The CW if no agreement with Sinclair happens.

I'd be surprised if CW programming in Grand Rapids does not move to WXSP.

38 has the worst reception. Nobody can even get the station unless you're in metro Detroit. WKBD does come in by antenna in Lapeer. 38, no chance.Marcus wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 11:47 pmhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WADL_(TV)

I will. I'll keep it in my music room.
