With Ron's latest departure from WDTK, I've been wondering how long we'll have access to old podcasts. WDTK has removed access to them, but a lot of them are still out there, at different locations.

The following is a list of the podcasts from the oldest I could find (10/5/19) to 1/4/20, which was the last podcast until 7/18/21 and also the now classic remote broadcast from Loui's Pizza.

I used long URLs from one source (sorry), but all of these shows are also available from these sources. The different sources should give us a higher chance for access in the future.

These broadcasts have some historical value because they chronicle the last shows that were produced by Matt, who followed Alex and preceded Luke. The compatibility between Ron and Matt made Ron's current relationship with Martin look smooth as glass. These shows might contain what I remember to be a big blowup between Matt and Ron, but I'm not sure where, because much of the time period covered by these broadcasts was chronicled by Buzzboard posts that no longer exist.

I've only listened to the first few minutes of each broadcast.

To the uninitiated, Matt, a sports fan unlike the dullard Martin, combined a genuine idolatry for Ron with a pesky habit of “coming in on” Ron to add his two cents. As you would imagine from the lone & legendary star of his eponymous show - the only one paying the freight - Ron did not take well to sharing the stage.

Sure, no problem. I understand the strong curiosity to listen and uncover any hidden gems. I'm going to try to pace myself and not get too overloaded, like I did with the 2017 shows.

I did listen to a few things so far.

The Anthony Fenech interview is interesting, and depressing, because of the optimism about the Tigers that so far hasn't panned out, four years later.

At the beginning of the Ike Blessitt interview, before Ike comes on, Ron blows up at Matt for quoting Yogi Berra.

On one of the 12/28 interviews, I forget which one, Kurt tells Ron about some improvements in the signal at WPON. Ron says it's five years too late for him, and calls WPON a—you guessed it—Mickey Mouse station.

Mr. Positive was on the shows I listened to, so he's been doing his thing with Ron for at least four years.

And this is a little mean-spirited, but I always chuckle when Matt awkwardly says, "This is...MATT".
