They could easily tie it to 2020… he declared on January 20th 2017 which was absolutely idiotic. He VOLUNTARILY put himself in that position years earlier than anybody else would have and was immediately subject to campaign finance laws as he raised money and held rallies across the country. I wouldn’t be surprised if his advisors told him not to and his ego ignored their advice.bmw wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 10:09 amEvery single one of the 34 allegations of wrongdoing are events that are alleged to have taken place in 2017. Trump had already been elected. So is it fair to assume that the secondary crime was NOT one of advancing his presidential campaign in violation of campaign finance laws? In order to argue advancement of his 2016 presidential campaign, there would have to be an allegation somewhere that Trump did something illegal in 2016 before he was elected. Or are they going to try to tie it to his 2020 re-election campaign?

Re: The Trump indictment
I posted the same thing on this site as I PMd you. "Fuck you". I'm not threatened by you at all, but I will admit it does bother me. I am disgusted that you keep shitting on MW and the site he has built by returning again and again and again after you have been banned. You have no worth here. 90% of the people on this site don't respect you at all. Just because you have....so far....not used the N or F words, somehow, you are still allowed to post. It does bother me. But please think of me that day, hopefully soon, when you log on to post and you get whatever message you have received a dozen times already, informing you that this latest identity has been banned. And when you come back in a few weeks again to post here because you have no real life, friends, or worth in this world...., I'll send another PM. It will say,"Fuck you".keto wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 6:39 pmWe’re coming up on the two-week anniversary of your first profanity-laced private message to me, and the two-day anniversary of another explicit message.Honeyman wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 10:01 amI did. What he did in Georgia, on January 6th, and with documents in Mar a Lago are infinitely more criminal and worthy of the country's disgust than this. He cheats on his wife and pays money to try and hide it, for numerous reasons. Despicable, but probably one of tens of thousands who has done so. Trying to subvert an election? Start an insurrection? Steal classified documents? There he is in a select few. I wish those cases were filed first. I do think the reasons this case was filed is in a predominantly way to fill a political agenda, and I fear it might cheapen the other real counts he deserves to be charged with.
But the group that supports him won't change their minds no matter what. He is gonna have his 30% that literally won't care if he spits in their face. And another 10% of the idiots that would vote for him because he has an R next to his name.
Still, the majority of this country is not THAT stupid to ever elect him again, at least I hope and pray.
"You're gonna be kicked off the site later today. Just want to say goodbye. Rest assured, I'll call you out next time you return.
Fuck off!"
I don't think that's really threatening or explicit.
As far as "why", it's because you have been banned a dozen times already and we don't want you here.
Please go away.
I have terrible news for you, I’m not threatened by you, and I am not afraid of you, and that drives you mad.

In the continuing slide of our king of fools...
A federal judge issued a limited gag order Monday against Donald Trump, saying the former president must stop disparaging prosecutors, witnesses and court personnel involved in his upcoming D.C. trial on charges of conspiring to obstruct the results of the 2020 election.
“Mr. Trump is facing felony charges, and he does not get to respond to every criticism,” Chutkan said in court. “He doesn’t get to use all the words.”

Re: The Trump indictment
That quote from the judge about him not getting to respond to every criticism is the exact kind of thing that he will use on appeal. Per another source, "her gag order to preclude attacks on DOJ prosecutors, potential trial witnesses, and court staff" (Slate). Trial witnesses and court staff are one thing, but he's not allowed to criticize the DOJ prosecutors? No way that last one stands up on appeal (or it shouldn't, anyway).
Re: The Trump indictment
I think he should bad mouth them. Just make them try harder to nail his deranged ass to the wall.
Re: The Trump indictment
Seems like an odd gag order. The magistrate has decreed he can say this but not that. Can speak to some but not all.
I've always thought a gag order was "Shut your face period". You're right, he will appeal and the barristers get richer.
