Re: Ron Cameron
Fitting summary of the show from Ron when he thought he couldn't be heard: "This is crap."

Re: Ron Cameron
I know plenty of people had an idea these three-hour marathon shows were gonna be a slog and it seems like they certainly have been…for Ron, his producer and what’s left of listeners/callers.
Re: Ron Cameron
I was browsing the Detroit Free Press archives on Newspapers.com and found an ad that made me laugh out loud. Just imagine, partying with Ron Cameron and Sonny Eliot on a Caribbean cruise.

Oh, if only I could invent a time machine & travel back, I'd contact my travel agent to get on board! If this cruise ever materialized, it's a wonder Ron has never mentioned it. Although it would explain his commitment to the overarching greatness of Bob Feller (even though his greatest years were before Ron's time), Mr. Positive - or emailer Dan - needs to ask about this. Did Ron still have a (non-brokered) radio show back then?
Re: Ron Cameron
He was in the middle of his long 1980s stretch with WCAR. He started hustling ads after he got fired by WXYZ in 1981.Momo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:31 pmOh, if only I could invent a time machine & travel back, I'd contact my travel agent to get on board! Also in 1988, he found the time for this:
Sports Phone Extra 1-976-2525. Weekday features: Ron Cameron, noon-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.; Greg Kelser 2-3 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m; Dave Schwartz 1-2 p.m.; Pete Sark Tigers reports after each Grapefruit League game. Each call 50 cents.
