President Joe Biden will visit Traverse City Saturday with Governor Gretchen Whitmer as part of a tour called "America's Back Together," which will feature Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, and members of Biden's Cabinet making appearances across the country over the holiday weekend.
Biden's visit, which will coincide with the start of the National Cherry Festival Saturday, is designed to mark the country's return to a pre-pandemic normal. While the administration originally aimed to have 70 percent of Americans vaccinated by the Fourth of July, White House officials acknowledged recently that the U.S. would be just short of that goal, with over 66 percent of Americans receiving at least one vaccine shot as of Monday.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through April 26 at 9:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Biden digging deep into the Midwest
Biden digging deep into the Midwest
Biden will be in Traverse City at the kickoff of the Cherry festival, which is generally run by the GOP types of our County. This is a shrewd strategy as I have always thought the only way to build support is to reach into the areas where the citizens would benefit from Democrat policies (particularly the service industry). There has been strong support recently in rural Northern Michigan for the party which continues to fail them; the GOP. Since our area has recently been inundated by people from New Jersey and California, we may benefit from efforts to flip our state representation and flip US Congressional District 1 which was held by a Democrat for many years.

Re: Biden digging deep into the Midwest
Yeah, the people they voted for fucked up New Jersey and California to the point they just don't want to live there anymore. So, they are going to move to Traverse City to fuck that area up too? Once the libs they vote for fuck the Traverse City area up, where will they go to then?
I notice those California and New Jersey people aren't relocating to Highland Park, Inkster or Detroit or lovely Lakeside Benton Harbor. All cities run by liberals for years.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
Re: Biden digging deep into the Midwest
Continued migration from New York, New Jersey, New England has helped make Florida more conservative. TCT thinks that because anywhere he goes he's still, politically, a blithering idiot, that everyone is like him.Bryce wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 7:53 pmYeah, the people they voted for fucked up New Jersey and California to the point they just don't want to live there anymore. Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

Here's Grand Traverse County in the past two elections. See how impressed we were with Trump after 4 years in office? That's before the insurgency.

Re: Biden digging deep into the Midwest
48,000 votes in 2016 vs 59,000 votes in 2020. I guess the greater Traverse County Democrat Party was a few thousand fraudulent votes short of giving Biden the victory there. Lucky for Biden, the other areas that were under Democrat control managed their voter fraud much better.TC Talks wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 10:08 pmHere's Grand Traverse County in the past two elections. The more you talk about GOP strategy the better I feel about the Democrat odds.

Biden is digging a hole for himself.
You have to admit Trump was right on China and Border Polices.

if a vaccinated citizenry, relatively hot and stable economy and a leader who actually acts like a leader not like a child is digging himself a hole, let's get this man a shovel.audiophile wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 2:27 pmBiden is digging a hole for himself.

Biden has actually kept much of Trump's China policy, I suspect he'll do a better job of leveraging it to get what we want from China. Trump wasn't so good with the negotiating with other leaders.

Tacit admission Trump was right on China.
Biden would have been playing pattycake with China if not for Trump's ragging on him.
Trump got the vaccines done and did a reasonable launch distributions.

DeSantis pushes some rather unpopular with the nation as a whole type positions and won’t win in 2024 and Harris is no lock to be the nominee.Bryce wrote: ↑Tue Jun 29, 2021 10:29 pmNope.
