I hear commercials. Thanks for getting my hopes up, MW
I hate this fucking station. You can't tell me there isn't better urban product they could be playing.

I remember when their RDS used to have an attorney using the space to advertise.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 10:56 am The audio processing sounds horrendous; high treble sounds shrill and horribly distorted.
Damn near every commercial on the station is targeted to people with poor credit, a criminal history, or a desire to file frivolous tort lawsuits.![]()
These are the same ads that air during Jerry Springer and Maury as well.

I don’t get how 107.5’s current format is still around. I can’t listen to that shit for more than thirty seconds.

Re: What's going on with Hot 107.5?
This reminds me of a conversation I had with a younger guy at work.
Usually, when I would walk into a house he/that crew was working in, they had music akin to what plays on 107.5 on their Bluetooth. And, naturally, I always made fun of it.
One day, he says, "I think you're basing your opinion on the 20% of the music that's out there".
My reply was, "Maybe true, but I hear this 100% of the time I walk into a house". To which he replied was a fair comment. I told him that, if I walked in a house and heard them playing newer rap that wasn't terrible and at least sounded different, I might be interested. It's the same shit over and over again. I'd heard a song recently that was the typical hi-hat that sounds like a broken sprinkler with the guy going "you gon eat or you gon starve".
For years, you could tell the difference between 2pac and Biggie, Q Tip from KRS One, Nelly from Ludacris, but now? I couldn't tell you who was who. And that's a damn shame, because there used to be some good stuff that was mainstream. Sure, maybe a lot of stuff was about how much money you have and your cars and being cool back when also, but this shit now just kills me.
But to be fair, a lot of current stuff all sounds the same. It goes for rock, rap, country and pop. Thank God for the internet!

I cannot stand Rap, it's awful to me. At the same time, many years ago at my last job, everyday it was WIOT 104.7 all day everyday. The same song list over and over and over. Which is why, every time Queen, Metallica, Rush, or The Doors comes on the radio I can't change the station fast enough. Still... If I had to listen to Rap I would have to quit the job.

One thing I'll say... this station never sounded better since Radio One took it over.
When it was off the air, I mean.

Used to love the throwback weekends they'd do.
Bring THAT back as a format and I'm in.
