Exit: Betsy DeVos

Post by Matt » Thu Jan 07, 2021 9:09 pm

Per my WSJ news alert...

THIS one is astonishing.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

They're leaving the sinking ship.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

3 and a half years too late. At least she protected her student loan holdings...

Astounding it took the insurrection riot at the capitol instigated by the president of the United States to convince her and others - now exiting fast - that Trump is certifiably mentally ill.

Some folks are pure thick. Really dense. Can’t assess a dangerous situation correctly. Left scrambling to save themselves - at the bitter end. Insensitive. Non-discriminating. With broken intuitive radar.

I think a lot of them are worried about being put in a position where they might have to work with the cabinet on a potential 25th Amendment deal. Just dive off the ship now.

Brainwashing is very powerful as evidenced by several of the dolts around here.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Chao and DeVos are gone. He's got a yes man and defense and I have no clue who is in as the temporary AG. I'd say the invocation is not likely to happen.

They might have to "work with the cabinet"? They ARE the cabinet! (or were)

If they really felt Trump was wrong and is a danger, they should have stayed long enough to evoke the 25th.... It would have only taken a day or two.

^ This is the correct answer. It most certainly doesn't have anything to do with maintaining integrity and reputation.

Every public school system across the land is breathing sign of purified air relief, as this corporate no nothing will no longer be terrorizing the department of education.

The Department of Education should be abolished. Education should be left to the states and the people.

It's amazing that all those folks in "education" can't do math.

Taxpayers in each state send a bunch of money to Washington. Something happens there and only a PORTION of it comes back.

Wouldn't it be better to just keep the money local and use it to educate kids better??

EDIT... just looked up the numbers. The Dept of Ed gets about 64 BILLION, or over 1 BILLION per state on average. How much is lost in that process and how much does MICHIGAN get out of that budget??
