I've gotten more good advice from Tyler than all the other sites combined.
If you want to improve OTA reception, check him out.
(Unfortunately, he can't help with the actual programming.)

He's also pretty entertaining when he reviews an overpriced piece of junk.

Antenna Man
Re: Antenna Man
I bought a couple of those "overpriced pieces of junk" at a Salvation Army for $5 each. These were the blade type in an unopened "As Seen On TV" package that attached directly to the back of the TV (no cord). These were really junk and did not work at all. I was disappointed as I was hoping they would somewhat work and not having the cord was ideal.
When I'm checking out a TV at a thrift store, I use a paper clip that I find laying around somewhere. I also look for a metal twist tie wrapped in plastic when looking for something to use as an antenna. Both work reasonably well.

Just like he does in the second video. Yes, that way you can see if the TV works.
Around here, you can pick up WEYI 25 with a bobby pin in the antenna jack.

You can do the same with 7&4 (Channel 4) if you live IN Cheboygan. Back in analog days, if you lived in Cheboygan you didn't even need anything to get Ch. 4, just turn the TV on and there you go, although kinda snowy.
I may have to try the paperclip and see what happens. Maybe I'll actually get 12 lol
