The 3 songs you're Most Tired of on Detroit radio
Re: The 3 songs you're Most Tired of on Detroit radio
Before all this hit our secretary would play the radio. Definitely the Adele songs were overplayed

Good grief these three would be on my list, I have Hall Of Fame of most over-played FM rock songs of all time, the three aforementioned
songs are in it, FIRST ballot inductees mind you, so here are three more,
"Hotel California"
"Livin On A Prayer"
"I Want You To Want Me" (according to WCSX the only song Cheap Trick ever recorded)....

"Free Fallin'" Tom Petty
"Pour Some Sugar On Me" Def Leppard
"Paradise City" Guns N' Roses
What sucks the most is that they only play 1 to 3 songs from most artists, which were their biggest hits. Many bands are now only represented as a single song. Even the "Major Arists" are only a half dozen songs at most in rotation. So monthly playlist get stale pretty quick, and even when they change up, they only replace less than a 3rd of the playlist with different songs, but still the same artists.

Addendum:
Start Me Up by the Stones.
Like clockwork on WCSX.

When that song came out around 2011, it sounded like one of the greatest singles of all time. That beat and the singing gave it a visceral and soulful feeling that jumped out of the radio.
After hearing it a few hundred times, I was compelled to write a parody:
"There's a song, that's poundin' in my head, radio keeps playin' it, probably 'til I'm dead."

Same here, some people want me to delete my account. They think I’m someone else.lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2020 3:33 pmI appreciate that. Most people here want to silence me. The late Aretha Franklin did a great remake version of "Rolling In The Deep" (Adele) back in late 2014!!
