I completely stopped with national news. Every other story is ridiculous "Trump is evil and wrong and Biden and Kamela are perfect", no matter what the subject of the story is.
Local news is getting that way, but not as bad yet

Are you kidding?PinkPanther69 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 6:01 amDan Miller and Rich Luterman are definitely not conservative. I wish I had the video when they were both on "Let It Rip" a couple years ago with basically the entire Fox2 news staff. To this day, I couldn't believe how explicit and aggressively anti-Trump Luterman and Miller's were.km1125 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 8:51 pmThere are definitely reporters on there that are way left. The do keep it fairly in check though, but every now and then it comes though. I can't think of any of their on-air staff that I'd guess is conservative, except maybe Dan Miller or even Hammer.
Today though, there was some idiot reporting from FOX2 on scene at the protests on 6 mile then later on 7 mile. He was clearly hoping that a wholescale riot would break out and kept making comparisons to 1967 to what was happening today. I'm not sure who he was, but clearly an idiot. They need to get him off the air. It was none of their normal reporters that I could recognize (by voice, they never had him on camera while I was watching).
Ever since that day I never watched the weather and sportscast the same way, knowing how much venom these guys have for Trump and conservatives.
Just the other morning at WDIV, I saw Jason Car take a giant (and obviously long) sigh immediately after they aired a Trump soundbite. As if he were visibly disgusted with Trump's comments. Whether your conservative or liberal, you shouldn't allow your personal bias to be so blatantly visible. In the old days you would be fired for it.
It matters, because it’s completely unethical for any news outlet or any journalist to make their political bias known. Their job should be to report the truth, not a bunch of lies. The fact that stations like Fox 2 report half truths or an outlet like CNN that flat out lies, is why I and others like me, tend to turn to independent outlets for the whole truth. The fact that a lot of the accomplishments of the Trump administration are not even discussed by the liberal mainstream media is really sad.
BTW, I am glad Chief James Craig called out Fox 2 for their crap on Let it Rip this past weekend. WJBK is really out of control with their wokeism and their slanted “journalism.”

Ratings and clicks.
Click bait is real and stations like CNN and MSNBC are the TV equivalent and are basically providing red meat for rabid Trump haters. As much as we all know its not right, they are giving their viewers what they want- and they will continue to do so. If Trump loses this election watch their ratings drop.

FOX News has been making this a cottage industry since 1996...JLesinski wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 4:08 pmRatings and clicks.

Re: Beginning to think Fox 2 has a liberal agenda
The funny thing is - CNN used to employ Lou Dobbs and had a populist/nationalist slant for a while. Even MSNBC sought to carve out such a position for itself in the mid 00's for a time - remember the Dee Snider voiceovers and Michael Savage's short lived show on Saturday afternoon?
I think MSNBC saw how FOX News' ratings kept rising as the station pushed harder to the right and decided at some point to become the left wing counterpart. For better or worse - it's worked very well for them. MSNBC has opened a large lead over CNN and is regularly a top 10 viewed cable network when looking at total households.
CNN has made a series of poor hires over the past decade and hasn't been able to dig itself out of the rut. The unsettled nature of CNN's programming for several years helped propel both MSNBC and FOX News, in my opinion. Now, for the past few years, they've been gunning straight for MSNBC. Among its liberal / socialist base, MSNBC has credibility. CNN does not. Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes and others come across as intellectuals who truly believe what they espouse. CNN's people, on the other hand, fall into two camps - attention whores (Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, etc.) and complete bores (Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer).

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

What audience?PinkPanther69 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:55 am.... I agree; however, who thought it would be a GOOD idea to give the green light and let their local weatherman and sportscaster express their personal hatred and bias for all their viewers to see? As if they all retain the same intense hatred for POTUS? How is that a good idea to alienate half your audience? ....
Every ratings poll that's been on Buzzboard since I joined this board shows Fox2 as the least watched newscast anytime Luterman and Miller and Perkins are on. Let 'em say whatever they want. Apparently no one's watching anyway.
