102.5 trades in Reality for R&B

Post by famousprod » Fri Jul 24, 2020 9:41 am

They flipped 102.5 to R&B and are bringing back Steve Harvey in the Morning. The fact iHeart didn't do it probably shows this will not be a strong play anymore after 104.9's flip in March. What are your thoughts?

They need to fix their audio on the FM if they expect anybody to listen to it. Very low modulation and not in stereo. The AM sounded pretty good when I tuned it in yesterday, but it's been off the air more than on in the past few weeks.

So stupid of iFart not to do Adult R&B on 101.3...

Programming synergies would be immediate (Mix 92.3 in Detroit), and they could run the very popular Steve Harvey in mornings.

Station would get a 2.5 to 3 share all day long, which would far exceed 101.3's anemic ratings.

C’mon Mark. Stupid and iHeart belong in the same sentence all the time!
