Spring 2020 Numeris ratings for Windsor, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia!!!

Post by MWmetalhead » Tue Jul 21, 2020 9:42 pm

I think this is the first time EVER we've been treated to ratings data for Chatham-Kent and Sarnia!

Sarnia
99.9 The Fox FM - 26.7 share!!!
103.9/1070 CHOK - 16.9 share
K106.3 - 11.2 share

Chatham-Kent and Wallaceburg
94.3 CKSY - 19.8 share
630/92.9 CFCO - 16.0 share
95.1 Cool FM - 15.3 share
99.1 CKXS - 7.7 share (not bad for such a small signal)

Windsor
800 CKLW - 15.8 share
CBC Radio 1 - 8.2 share
93.9 The River - 4.9 share
100.7 Cool FM - 4.6 share
96.7 CHYR - 3.8 share
Country 95.9 - 3.7 share
89X - 2.3 share (OUCH! I believe that is the second worst showing in Windsor's ratings in 89X's history.)

Memo to 89X:
Your morning show bores your audience to tears, your audio processing isn't loud enough, your station voice is 15 years past his expiration date, and we want to hear more Tool, more Metallica, more Marilyn Manson, and GOOD new music (not overplayed garbage such as Starset, Silverstein, or Ice Nine Kills).

Thanks for the info. It’s hard to believe Cool FM 100.7 has a 4.6 and 89X only a 2.3, thats hilarious a low power station gets twice the audience than a 100,000 watt flamethrower. :rollin

Numeris has been posting ratings for Chatham-Kent and Sarnia for several years. I think they only get surveyed once a year though. Those numbers seem pretty typical of what I've seen in the past.

Time for Bell to blowup 89X. Do something that will actually get listeners. When you have a flea power signal get twice the amount of audience than a powerhouse signal. There’s definitely something wrong.

I think I heard a good song on 89x a couple weeks ago. Oh how the mighty have fallen. 89x was go-to. Now it's go-away, simply filling a preset in the monthly event they play a decent song.

The PDF only contains diary markets. Toronto is a PPM market.

How do you find out about out of town listening? In Sarnia both WGRT and WSAQ from Port Huron have a good number of listeners. WIndsor residents often listen to Detroit radio.
