Looking like it will be "Warriors".

Dan Snyder probably likes that name because it's associated with championships (i.e. the NBA's Golden State Warriors).

Too bad the horrible Redskins are more like the 2019/2020 version of the Warriors than the squads from the preceding five seasons!

"Weasels" would have been my choice for a new name; that term describes Snyder perfectly as well as the corrupt scumbags who serve both in the White House and in Congress.

Washington Weasels rolls off the tongue more smoothly than Washington Warriors, too. :hat

So few NFL teams have three syllable names - Patriots, Buccaneers, Cardinals come to mind. I like the one & two syllable names better.

The Warriors isn't a bad choice, but it sounds a little too XFL-ish for my personal tastes. At least a horrible name like "Wildcats" isn't the frontrunner.

:rolleyes Warriors (jeesh!), just like Wayne State U. who used to be the unique and totally PC Tartars. It was my understanding that the powers-that-be thought no one knew what Tartar meant other than the sauce one puts on fish.

I like the Warriors name I have also heard Redtails which has something to do with Miltary. Around The Horn yesterday no one on the panel didn't like the Warriors name which they think is still is to close to the Redskins name which I don't see it at all.

How about "Essentials" for a name?

Right. Only a matter of time before some group finds butthurt in that name.

The marketing genius hidden within me, coupled with a tad bit of my uncontrollable smart assiness, would re-brand them, at least temporarily, The Washington Woke.

"We Be Woke" could be the new slogan.

This could be the new theme song...

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Did you read back a couple years ago someone trademarked a bunch of names?
Hoping to cash in when Washington decides what name to use.

Geez, according to the Washington Post, maybe the name should be The Washington Womanizer's.

Maybe the cheerleaders could be for rent as a promotion?

Well, it is her body. She should have a right to choose to do so shouldn't she?

My vote is for the Capitol Hill A-Holes!
Wouldn't that be offensive to all the assholes in the country. Assholes comprise much larger percentage of the population than Native Americans do.
