North Goes South?

According to their Instagram page, Q100 is going to take over the 94.5/106.3 frequencies North FM is currently broadcasting on.

Meanwhile, it looks like Finster and his new co-host are moving to Q100.

Are they buying the signals?

I think this whole effort is in vain. if Trish (who has a sales force in northern Michigan) can't make Finster cash flow, I can't see how this group with no real presence is going to get anywhere.

We're still at the reality that they are a 5th place radio group in a field of three.

Are the Eagle 101.5s 4th place ahead of Blarney Stone? We all know Midwestern, MacGarb, and Black Diamond are top three.

WJZQ is still on 92.9. The 94.5 is WYPV, and was WLJZ for years

So, it's pretty obvious that North is going away and Q100 - America's biggest playlist of unknown rock songs - will absorb Finster in the Morning? What happens to Bilbo?

My first reaction is that someone became jealous of the WKLT triple cast of stations.

Nah. North FM had no ratings and few sales. It's either do this or hand control of the stations back to Mr. Yob.

Not sure where these people get their inspiration - The Go Fund Me page was a "smashing success"

So glad they've saved Rock and Roll, what would we do without it? And now, we can listen to it on three bad signals at the same time?

WQON would have a better signal if it upgraded to 100kW, which it should be able to since it's already a C1 (with 60kW on a short tower)

At 4% of the goal I guess not too many want to "save rock-n-roll", at least the way they are presenting it
