Good protest songs from years gone by here’s a few of my favorite tunes “Lay Down The Candles” by Melanie 1970, “Chicago” by Graham Nash 1970 and “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield 1967. What are your favorite protest songs.

Chicago "Liberation" (from their debut 1969 "Chicago Transit Authority") which ends side 4 at 14 minutes of instrumental!! "Ohio" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young" (during the May 4, 1970 Kent State protest that left "4 dead in Ohio" & 11 injured). Also "Immigration Man" by David Crosby & Graham Nash (1972).

"RED" Refers to COMMUNISM, not the stupid "Red State" Leftist attempt to redefine "Red".

"2+2=?" - The Bob Seger System

And, thank you for mentioning C.W. McCall's "Crispy Critters". I still have my copy of the album Wilderness with that song on it.
