Yeah, we should all trust fuzzpower as the "authority" on how to deal with COVID-19.Haven’t checked here in days due to avoiding sensationalist media (and thus no real reason to go to a broadcasting board). Whitmer should be recalled for this. What a way to crash the economy. Of course she will blame others because nothing is ever her fault. Sounds like her mentor Granholm.
I would gather petitions, but she banned that! How convenient...
I needed to explain to him in detail why basketball games needed to be cancelled, but hey, everyone else here should trust his instincts!
Prior to the NBA season being postponed, multiple NBA players & staffers contracted the virus (only one case was disclosed at the time, Rudy Gobert of the Jazz). A FS Detroit employee is now in the hospital in a fucking coma because he worked the Pistons / Jazz game.
Yet, he wants life to continue as normal because HE (apparently) is inconvenienced.
What a selfish dipstick!!
I completely recognize that businesses are suffering. It's a very unfortunate side effect of the emergency orders that have been declared. Could exemptions have been broadened? Probably, in some instances. However, on the whole, our Governor (and many others) have the right idea here.
If & when the Stimulus Bill that fuzzpower steadfastly opposes on strictly ideological grounds passes, harmed business owners will receive badly needed relief.
Excellent point, Realist. The media often doesn't report negative news involving major health systems in the region, or when they do, it's reported on in de-emphasized fashion. They LOVE those advertising dollars! Both were way beyond capacity back in January, with flu patients. There were NO BEDS at Beaumont Troy, and patients were forced to stay in the ER. This went on for at least three weeks. I guess your media pals were out to lunch on that one.
I do agree that the numbers are underreported given scarcity of testing + many likely COVID-19 bearers choosing to self-quarantine without being tested.
